This Privacy Policy explains what information Talluum collects when you use our iOS app, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We've written it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at support@talluum.com.
Talluum is operated by 786 Infinite Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12533644), with registered office at 124–128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.
For the purposes of UK and EU data protection law, 786 Infinite Ltd is the data controller for personal information processed through the Talluum app.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. We use this to sign you in, sync your progress across devices, and contact you about your account or important changes to the app.
Passwords are stored securely using industry-standard hashing (we never see or store your password in plain text).
As you use the app, we store your progress: which lessons you've completed, which words you've learned, and your performance on exercises. This is used to personalise your learning path and show you accurate progress.
If you purchase a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details. Apple sends us (via our subscription provider, RevenueCat) a confirmation that your subscription is active and what tier you're on. We use this only to unlock subscription features in the app.
To help us fix bugs and improve performance, we collect anonymised crash reports and basic performance data using Sentry. This may include:
Session recordings are used solely to reproduce and fix bugs. We do not associate them with marketing or analytics profiles.
If you grant permission, we send push notifications through Apple's notification service to remind you about lessons or share a daily verse. You can disable these at any time in your iOS settings.
We share information only with the third-party service providers we need to run the app:
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and security practices. We use them because they are well-established, GDPR-compliant, and appropriate for the kind of data we store.
We may also disclose information if required by law (for example, in response to a valid court order), or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of users.
Your account data and learning progress are stored on servers in the European Union. Some service providers (Sentry, Apple) may process data in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EU, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain transaction records for legal or accounting purposes (typically 7 years for tax records, in line with HMRC requirements).
Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email support@talluum.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Talluum is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with information without consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted password storage, restricted access to production systems, and regular security reviews of our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you in the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
